DIY servo cable??

OK, not much luck on AK forum with this, so I'll try here. There seems to be some very helpful and knowledgeable people here, so here goes...

I picked up an Onkyo Integra M-506RS amp and P-306 pre about a year or so ago. Unfortunately it did not come with the 'Super Servo' interconnect cable.
These cables seem to be extremely rare and I have not been able to find one anywhere.
What are the chances of being able to make one of these up?
Attached is a scan of the Preamp manual... the first page shows what the cable looks like, and the second page actually shows a diagram of how this cable works different from a regular RCA cable. Looks like a homemade 'y' cord could do the same thing?? I'm no electronics expert but if someone can explain to me how this works, I think it may be a fun DIY project.

Thanks in advance for any info...

Looking at the pdf, the difference looks to be in the pre. I wonder if that pre would work with just plain old interconnect cables?

That's the way I have it hooked up now and it works fine. It just doesn't take advantage of the 'Super Servo' capabilities of the pre/amp combo.
The pre has 2 outs on it... 1 for regular RCA and 1 for the Super Servo.
(The amp has only 1 set of ins)

If I can get the Super Servo connection working, it'll free up the normal out I'm using now as an output to my sub. Right now I have the sub hooked up using speaker wire to the high level connection.

Too me it looks as the other cable is returned to the center input from the ground of the input cable to the amp. I'm a not 100% on that, I may need to meter that pre amp first. But that's it looks to to me.
