Help with my Polk Audio Monitor 30

I recently just bought the Polk Audio Monitor 30 along with Sony SS-B1000 5 1/8-Inch Bookshelf Speakers. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000OG88KY/ref=oss_product). On the back of these speaker, where you would put the wire in to connect them, is different on both sets of speakers thus making it confusing to an amateur installer like myself.
So my question is how can i set this up (mainly to play music from my IPOD)? I have a Sony 360W 3-Disc Compact Shelf System as well, where I would like to connect the speakers to, so I can plug my IPOD into the Sony 360W 3-Disc Compact Shelf System. If not, is there something else I need to purchase?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Just connect the positive red to the positive red terminal, and the negative black to the negative black terminal. On the sony it looks like u just push the lever down, insert the bare wire, and let the lever go and it should be hooked in.
On the polks, you unscrew the cap a bit, place the bare wire under it so that its making contact with the metal, then rescrew the cap so its tight, it should be hooked in.
I'm not sure I understood your question properly, hope this helps...
