Got these just a few weeks ago but they are not going over well with the lady of the house. I'm going to give in on this one and later put my foot down later on something even bigger.

So, for your consideration here's a pair of VERY clean SDA 2A's.

Original b/b interconnect, boxes, and manual included.

$200 for Polk people. If there is no interest here in the next week I'll try and make a profit on CL....

I do not want to ship them but I will be traveling to NW West Virgina during the first weekend of Dec. so I could potentially meet up with someone in that area (or in between) that Fri. or Sun.

That's a nice price, Rev. Especially with original BOXES and the MANUAL! A collector's package there! And the speaks look good...better than my set.

But I don't follow your reasoning...'let the SDA-2As go now because they're TOO big, so I can get something even BIGGER which my wife will like even LESS!

Are you just trying to step up to some SDA-SRS 1.2s or..? TLs?

Good luck with the sale. These are the perfect size for most people who don't have HUGE Great ROOMS!

    Ha!

I was kidding to some extent. She does not like the monolithic appearance but she is also very understanding. I'm sure it would be fine if I kept them but I've been seriously craving variety and comparison lately.

The fact that I now have stacked up in the living room and my "cyber-lair" the following is the real problem.

    Polk Mon. 10
    Polk Mon. 7
    Polk Mon. 5jr series 2
    Polk T15 (for the computer)
    Infinity RS 6b
    2 sets of Dynaco A 35
    Boston A 40
    Proton 301
    Technics SB-G920
    more but not worth mentioning
As well as several stacks of functional and pseudo functional components.

She's a little confused as to why I need all that stuff... (frankly I am too, but I do!)

    SRS here I come!
    Sounds good to me...

I'm with you on that! She complained that the CRS's we're too wide, as I moved from a thinner pair of towers to them. I tried to buy a pair of Monitor 50's, but she threw a FIT!! Good luck with the sale!

What do you mean no room in your apt.? I have a pair that I had in the one I lived in with a pair on infinity SM 115's (or were they 110s) for the surrounds.

Good luck on the sale, nice price on a great set of speakers.

Folks, how close can you ideally place these up against the back wall, and ideally how much space from the side walls???

3' from side walls, 4' minimum in between (but I don't suggest that), and as far as the back wall... I maintain about 8" but it just depends how your room reacts to the bass. You could go closer.

Who, me? Far indeed. I do travel through on my way to Mass. from time to time but I have no immediate plans.

How would these compare to the 2B's? I had the 2B's and gave to my son when I picked up 1C's from treitz. Still using the 1C's but like to change out the system occasionally.

There's a good chance that I will be coming up to your area in the near future (my Grandfather is currently waiting on a lung transplant in North Carolina) and I would love to take these off your hands if they're still available.

    Cosmic,

I just checked your thread about setting up a TT based 2 channel system and I do think you would like these.

Post a few more times and PM me. We can talk about our respective schedules.

P.S. I hope your grandfather is comfortable during his wait. UNC hospitals or Duke or other?
    Sounds good to me...

    Thanks, Rev.

He's at Duke, and besides being a little homesick (especially considering he'll be spending Thanksgiving away from home) he's doing okay.

Yeah, you need 10 which is why I had to send Rev. Hayes an email. I would have prefered a PM, because I'm not sure he's been getting my emails.

Or maybe he's just ignoring me

Rev. Hayes if you read this post, I am interested in these speakers :)
