Polk discontinued sub ???

I was looking at a discontinued Polk sub that is going for about half price and has great great reviews....now, I cannot find it.....

thought it was like a 505 maybe.....any ideas?

FOUND IT...It is 505.....anyone using it?

    Hop over to AVSFORUM's. There is a Official Polk Thread with lots of posts about the 505. Most say its the best of the PSW lineup and are quite happy with it.

    Personally I want a SVS PC-12NSD, but thats a apples to oranges comparison in just about all aspects.

    Have one, love it, that is actually my review on Newegg (first), but I bought it from JR because of the shipping.

    It crushes lots of content, and is the best inexpensive (200-500) sub I have heard, bar none. I will use it until I don't share a wall, and then I am headed to Epik Empire land.

    I have a POLK PSW450. Do you think the 505 would be a big upgrade from the 450?

    I can see that the 505 has double the power which does sound like a good upgrade. Has anyone owned both subwoofers and had a chance to really compare them? Also I have Polk SDA speakers, any idea which one would match them better?

    I got my new Polk 505 subwoofer and love it!! Watched 'Inception' last night and the LFE was fantastic, much stronger than my 450. Thanks for the recommendation, the price is great. Highly recommend this sub to others.

    Love it. 100% worth the cash.
    It does not disappoint. I have gain on amp, say....1/3 if that. It rumbles the side of the house its on. Very formidable subwoofer.

    I have the PSW110, which came part of a bundle. I am not unhappy with it, but I wonder what else is out there in terms of subs. The PSW110 and PSW550, are relatively comparable in price but not stats. I'm not sure I will be able to sell the 110.

    Should I upgrade to the 550? Is it a deal that won't come around again soon (this level of sub. for the $229 price)

    the 505 was very underrated in my opinion, at those blowout prices, very well worth it. great sub for low budget.

    wow,I Just bought the 505 @$249. the 49 is the shipping cost. hope it sounds good with the Polk's 1.2's or the infinity Kappa 9's I'll find out soon.

    I have the 404.. I am not that much into subs but a friend of mine that knows more about it than I do was kinda dissapointed with the foam surrounds that make up the driver. Anyone have a pic of the 505's driver?

    PSW505 is a great sub for the price - any buyers out there will not be disappointed.

    I upgraded from a $100 Sony sub and the difference is impressive. Both movies and music take on a whole new dimension.

    Side note - I have a Denon 1910 receiver with Audessey speaker calibration, so setup of speakers is a no-brainer and makes the sound from all my Polks sound great. I highly recommend Audessey.

    Anybody even thinking about getting the PSW 505....Should go for it. The Sub is well built and puts out surprising sound for both movies and music. It goes pretty low too !! For that price, you won't find anything else to compare.
