How bout that? Or was I at the airport with the ship came in?
Went over the NeedleDoctor to buy a DL-160, tough ****, they are discontinued.
I had a look around and can't find any. Fleabay shows a guy in Germany has a few.
Anybody know where I can get one or have one they will let go? Just thought I would ask before I ask Hans to send one.
Thanks Gang!

Well that sucks. It was a good step up from the Shure97xx.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Sad news for sure,glad I have a spare!! -
I must confess to not liking the cartridge that much... It sounded fine I guess, but having the cantilever fall completely out of it after 8 months didn't impress me much. RIP DL160...The Gear... I have one I used for an hour or 2, probably not enough to break it in and sound it's best?? I also have a Lyra Dorian, and just can't seem to use the Denon. It does sound good though, I just prefer the Lyra at the moment. Maybe later I will try the Denon again. I must say, for the price it's a great unit, but I'm not experienced enough to give a professional opinion.Pio Elete Pro 520

It was never my favorite cart. either. I always thought it was over-rated.
-
I have never had one problem with them..

Bummer. It's a great cart for the money.

I have most recently been using an old Audio Technica AT20SLa. Absolutely mind blowing good sound!! It's the one that more or less started the Shibata and then line contact trend. Also used for 4 channel cd4 LP playback. It's moving magnet but will compete with any moving coil I've ever heard. 5 to 60,000 Hz. It came on a Dual 701 I recently purchased. The TT also came with a perfect condition Shure V15 Type III with a perfect stylus. All this for $125!! Mike (and everyone else) keep your eyes open for one of these AT's. Trust me you won't be disappointed. I loved my Denon DL160 but this old AT really does better it in many ways.SDA-1C (full mods)
