How does these compare with polk speakers? Seems like they are competitors to the RTiA series, but I´m not sure. Does anyone has experience with these or other KEF? How do you describe the sound of them?

I´m asking because I want to try new speakers for my front channels. I want some musical, not so bright. Firstly I considered TSi500 or monitor 70 series II, but looking for other alternatives in the $500-600 price range like a pair of lsi7´s (considering prices from polk direct or newegg). Someone suggested me paradigm as well.

Many thanks.

I own the IQ7's which is the predecessor to the IQ70's. I absolutely love the detail in their highs and mids that they have. Kef is a very nice speaker maker. They dont really have a lot of low end so you would need a nice sub. I ran them for over a year til recently. I would suggest finding a dealer that carries them because they are a little foward so it might not be what you like. Hope that helps. Disregard the dumbs down. That was a mistake.

if you want musical speakers, then stay away from RTi series. they're very bright and best for HT. In fact, RT stands for Reference Theater, according to Polk. In your case, I'd go with the KEF, Monitor series before Rti

To OP. How do you like the TSi300s up front? I posted about getting either Monitor 40s, 50s or 60s for my mains. I am still kind of on the fence about it. Most people said to go with the 60s. What are your thoughts?

That´s why I asked, because I thought the KEF would be similar to the RTiA and I want something not so bright.

I´m very happy with the TSi300s the low end is not so great but I have a Velodyne sub, so its ok. I find the sound very enjoyable, but I cannot comment in comparison with its bigger brothers, or the monitor 60s because I haven´t listen to them.

Yes, its an interesting design actually, also in a curved cabinet and in different finishes,
