Has anyone sent their CJ Pre to them to have the cap upgrade done?
If life had more tubes it would be a lot smoother.

Inspired Sports here on the board has a CJ preamp (CV-5) and the guy that he purchased it from had it sent off to CJ for servicing. I know this because I picked the preamp up here locally(SE GA) for him and shipped it to OH for him. When I spoke to the original owner when I picked it up, the owner mentioned he sent it off to CJ for servicing and that it made a big difference and they were fair in price. Inspired Sports has a lot of experience and knowledge with CJ preamps, so shoot him a PM. There are also a lot of other folks here with lot's of CJ experience (calling TroyD) so I'm sure they'll weigh in also.

I have a PV11 that was damaged in shipping so I was going to have it upgraded while it was there being fixed. However, they said all they have a cap upgrade and that would be 1100. I don't see me spending more on the upgrade then I did on the pre.

Ok so my pre should be going to CJ soon to get repaired and I cant wait to hear this pre all fresh and ready to go. I just one question, does anyone know if Dr. William Conrad or Dr. Lewis Johnson are still with the company? I think it would be cool to get my pre signed by them if they were still there.
