Help needed! Between a couple AVR's

Hey there, first of all, I have a pair of RTiA7's for fronts, and plan on getting the CSia6 center, and the FXi4's for surrounds. Now on to my dilemma.
I had originally decided on a Denon AVR991, but more thinking and research and I found that it doesn't have pre-outs, so that kind of killed it for me as I want to be able to hook up a dedicated amp for the RTi7's, (and also just for piece of mind for upgrading)
Now, I have it down to 2 others, one being the Yamaha 7.1 Multi-Room Receiver (HTR6295B)
quick link for those that dont know about it

or the Onkyo TX-NR808 7.2-Channel Network Home Theater Receiver
and link
http://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-TX-NR808-7-2-Channel-Network-Receiver/dp/B003N197EI/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
I like them both, if I could get some peoples opinions on both, and also maybe from people with Polk's and these manufacturers for AVR's in terms of sound quality with the Polks....warm, bright, no good, whatever lol..
Thanks for the time

Never heard either of the models, but used to own an Onkyo. Just from reading this forum, it appears that the majority of the members own an Onkyo. With that being said, I've never really heard anything negative about the Yamaha's.
I don't think you could go wrong with either one.
Not much help, I know. Maybe someone with your speakers and those particular models can chime in...HT: RTi8s, CSi3, RTi4s, HSU ULS-15, Pioneer Elite VSX-23TXH, Sunfire Cinema Seven.

I just checked, and there is no shipping for that to Canada, bummer. This is why I normally don't bother looking at online stores

Yeah I have the Denon 3311ci and have been very happy with it. Features galore, pre-outs, and warmish sound.
I believe the higher end Yamahas aren't as bright as my Yamaha 663, so that might be worth a look. Yamahas are pretty solid. You get pre-outs on the new RX-A800 and higher.
My dad has an Onkyo TX-SR707 and sound quality is very nice and it has pre-outs. He needs an amp, though. Driving 7 speakers, it struggles (-17dB to watch TV at reasonable vol), but that's why we use amps.Dali Optikon 1Mk2

In your price range, the Yamaha is going to be bright, with Rti speaks that are also bright, maynot be a good match. Denon or HK are warmer, maybe a better match untill you get an amp. Also put some thought into cables.HT SYSTEM-

Yep, +1. Been there, done that (Yamaha/RTi). Onkyo was a bit better, but HK was the best solution of the three I tried. I stopped thinking about trying others after getting the HK. Good luck!

I used the Yamaha/Rti setup for a while and agree it was too bright, I ended up going with the Pioneer 1120 and I feel like it sounds much better. I was very close to getting the 808 but the Pioneer went on sale for almost $200 cheaper and it had a few more features.

+1 on the Onkyo. Seems to be a step up from the Yamaha.Mains - LSi9's

I also have the Rti speakers ( Rti10,CsiA6 & Rti4's ) and have been doing research into a new AVR as the next step before adding an amp. I have also gotten great information from these forums. This is what I have found out so far. In General....Yamaha-Bright,Onkyo less Bright,Pioneer Neutral to Bright,Denon Warm to Neutral and Harmon Kardon Warm. Anyone please feel free to add comments to this rankings if not accurate. I have a Denon 888 now which does actually seem at least Warm to Neutral but dosn't have Preouts to add an Amp. The next step I started to research was this same Warm/Bright quality of Individual Amps....which I will start a new Thread about in a few minutes. The chosen Amp can also add to the desired warmness of my overall finished sound...I hope, but to be discussed in the new Thread.. I am also from Canada so have less options from On Line Shopping also.Home Theatre.............
