What a relief. My fortune cookie said I would experience additional moderation in my life. I thought my wife was going to make me sell off some of my gear!

That day is embedded big time in my memory. One minute you got hair down to your shoulders, and the next minute you're doing the "Itchy-Scratch" cause it's all over you. I was fortunate, it was only about 4,000 degrees with 2,000% humidity in San Antonio that day. "Go stand outside and wait for the rest of these clowns to get their haircuts!"

Hello All and thanks for the many kind and single unkind greetings. Yes, I wuz a Polkie (and still am in spirit) for 20 years, inside the building and witness to the inner workings of the beast. Ken has been very gracious to fill me in on who several of you are. JVC - I am not sure who you are but have an idea. I can only think of one brother combination in my time there. Cfrizz - thanks for the kind words. I notice you are from BAAAston. My parents are transplanted yankees from New Beford, Mass. Keiko - Aloha, please give a shout to Dog the Bounty Hunter from me should you run into him. To everyone else a little about me. I became interested in audio as a kid and it has always been a hobby since then. I like analog gear the most. I also have an appreciation for old stuff and like to restore just about anything. I am currently working on refinishing a piece of Heywood Wakefield furniture that I reclaimed at a salvage center that benefits Habitat for Humanity. Musically I like Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Beatles, Beach Boys and most recently have been on an Elvis kick. So if you want to chat about any of those things let me know.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....
