Is there anyone that has bought something from me, or vice-versa, that hasn't completed feedback here? I know I've ben slow to react and want to give you your due as well as receive my ratings as well.

Let me know here and if anyone else has issues, or a bad memory like me, maybe this thread will help you.

 Mark

In other words, if I bought something from you, make sure I left you feedback....if you bought something from me, make sure you left me feedback. I'll also return the favor as we need to ensure this system works.

I seriously did a quick search and had missed 23 people in regards to feedback from sales that I had made with them. Feel free to hit me back if everything went well, which I would hope you told me by now

I know that my purchase feedback is still lacking so let me know if I bought something from you and I'll reciprocate the feedback.

Well I have never bought anything from you but from everything I have read your one of the best at packing well and shipping quickly, there does appear to be a rash of non feedback going on lately, the last 4-5 things I have either bought or sold I havent received feedback from it seems like, when that happens I feel like others are wondering whether I did right by the buyer.

A quick question.... what time period after you buy something and it hasnt shipped do you feel like negative feedback should be left?

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

    REGARDS SNOW

    Snow,

I think we all collectively kinda forgot about member sales ratings and that's not acceptable. Our Flea Market is a real standout for me personally, and I've been all over the place. I know a bunch of members that do the same thing....we like to shop like women

    Generally speaking.....

If you have a negative opinion of a sales experience on here, regardless of the time frame, leave feedback. However, I strongly believe and suggest that both parties try to work it out offline but in the end, the feedback rating is there for the same reason as eBay or Audiogon.

I've had enough behind the scenes PM messages about deals gone south, etc etc since I'm still the Flea Market moderator(ONLY) that it's important that this feature be used on our forum.

Almost every situation that's been brought to my attention offline has been worked out just like Polkies work stuff out...cool and everyone is happy. Most of the time it's just poor communication.

If you have a great transaction, it should reflect on both members. If you have a less than stellar transaction here, and it wasn't or couldn't be worked out offline, than you have every right to report it here and let the next member decide their course of action.

Unfortunately, a problem that exists here is that some members are "afraid" or more rationoally, hesitant to post something negative regarding a transaction or deal. That's normal and you shouldn't post anything when your angry.

Look, we're all adults here but if you've exhausted all efforts to reach a resolution and/or your simply unhappy with the overall issue, you should post accordingly.

Reprisal threads and member attack threads will not be tolerated by Kenneth....he also takes this personally and the system is in place for a reason. This isn't just the FM area....as we shouldn't be attacking one another, anywhere on this forum.

If the comment results in a disagreement within the public area of the forum, it will be removed.

It should be handled offline .

If neither party can come to an agreement or communication has completely broken down, immediately contact Kenneth Swauger AND myself so we can assist in a third party arbitration process. We don't need angry rhetoric on our forum, regardless of the area and the Flea Market should be taken much more seriously.

The decisions at that point, as determined by Kenneth and Polk Audio will determine the outcome.

Members' can be barred from selling and/or offering services on this board. It will be enforced in order to have a high standard here. We already have this in place, so this shouldn't be anything that you didn't adhere to in the first place.

The Flea Market rules and guidelines are being reviewed and amended in the next month.

Guys, we really have a rocking Flea Market....don't mess it up.

I understamd that conflict needs to be kept at a minium, and I also understand the hesitation in not saying anything for a while no one wants to ruins someones reputation over a few bucks, but I also feel that other members should be made aware of problems with either the buyer or seller so they are forewarned per se. My personal belief is that both buyers and sellers have an obligation to each other to complete their end of the deal in an expedient manner.

For instance I think that within 7 days unless noted in the thread that a seller should ship an item that is paid for and provide a tracking number of some kind so that the buyer can see it has been shipped, I also feel that the buyer should pay within that same time frame, if a seller is unable too because of personal reasons, ive just been too busy etc is not a justfiable excuse, sorry but if you can take the time to place a FS ad you can take the time to ship in a timely manner if not dont list until you can, the same goes for the buyer the seller doesnt want to hear that he is going to have to wait for his money because of some BS excuse, unless you can work it out with the buyer beforehand dont leave the poor **** hanging its simply not fair to him/her and leads to bad feelings.

This is only a suggestion but I would like to see rules in place that require this in the FM it would save a lot of trouble if both the buyer and seller had concrete rules to go by and knew that there would be some form of enforcement/punishment if either the buyer or seller didnt follow through like a 30 day ban from buying and selling the first offense a 90 day ban the second offense and a permanent ban the 3rd offense or some similar type. As you mentioned we are all adults here its time some of us started taking responsibility for our actions and acting like one.

This has all been touched on internally and the additional information will be passed on Snow, thanks for posting. We've(Club Polk members') had a loose discussion on this openly, amongst everyone before, it just didn't change anything in the end.

Now, I'm pushing this very hard towards Polk at this time so hopefully things are going to change for the better and the rules are going to change.

One method I use to see if I'm caught up on feed back both ways, or when I occasionally check to see if I got all my feedback, is to look at my feedback stats, where I can filter it to show what feedback I've left for others and what others have left for me. Should end up being a 1:1 for each, so if one's missing from either it's pretty easy to figure out what's missing. Of course this doesn't work if both sides forget to leave feedback.

Oh yeah, is there anyway to show a different feedback rating for a user as a buyer vs. a seller?
I know you can filter out the actual feedbacks, but I mean a rating #.
It would seem to me to be more valuable to be able more easily differentiate. For example you could have a user that has 100+ buyer rating, but that really doesn't provide much confidence to demonstrate that user's history as a seller would be just as superb.

    Just a thought.

The sales rating is a vBulletin feature and it's a yea or nay device. I'm sure there are options available but this is the feedback system Polk uses right now.

Patrick may shed more light on this but I believe generic feedback works fine for our home.

As far as that goes, you are doing what should be done anyways. I'm at fault for not following thru and even with what I did tonight, it actually confuses things a bit since memory has faded.

I should have paid more attention to it in the first place but at least I'm trying to give credit where credit is due.

Just a thought. I think a lot of the older members may have lost interest when the feedback system was revamped a few years back and subsequently lost a lot of history with previous transactions. I know for a fact I've been involved with more than four. Quite a bit more to be precise - if not recent.

I don't think much was really lost as I'm still in the hundreds when you actually look at the feedback. The older members are a bunch of cookie birds and hangers-on anyways...wait, did I just diss myself? I need to get a life.

Jason, if you click on your (4) you'll see the total feedback. You have 21.

+1 on missing Polkfest. We'll have to think on the appropriate punishment.

Mark, I don't think I owe you any feedback, but if you want we can exchange 1,000 positive feedback just to beat everyone else.

How come all of the stuff we sold/purchased under the old system doesn't show up under this 'new' (I know we've had it a while) system? If you click on the number (2) next to my name it shows I have actually completed (9) transactions. I'm not too worried about it...just wondering.

*edit* Just noticed others posted about it.

Since I was the keeper of the old feedback...what happened was ~justin~ took all of the feedback I accumulated and gave everyone a possitive (or negative) based on that. He didn't have any detail as to what the transaction was...not even if the person was the buyer or the seller...just pos or neg.
