Hello Everyone,
Some of you are going to read this thread and think I'm full of crap. But hopefully you will find the time to read this.
I'm sorry for anyone I have offended, sorry for all the times I have ranted, and sorry for all the times I have insulted people. I have been told I have called people names on the forum, If I may respond and hopefully do it maturally(sp). I talk like that, my friends and I, just bluntly insult each other with no thought to it. Its like a second language, it may sound bad - but we take nothing to it. Just how we talk.

However, I know I should have never called anyone of the guys on this board a name of anykind, but I guess when you get called a dumba**, and a dic*head you don't think about the respect you should give others at the same time. I am truly sorry to anyone I have called a name or insulted without thought towards what I said. It was truly my mistake, and I hope you can forgive me.

I know I start rants on here, and I know I start alot of the arguments. That is my fault to. People offer me advice, and I take it the wrong way. I dont know if I think ya'll come off as over persistant on to turn me to something or I believe in the same time you guys are bashing my rig. I have no clue, and I will try my best to refrain from doing so in the future. I am entirely sorry for anything I have caused, or sent to the Hall Of Shame (Or Members I have drove off).

I also can realize that I have over 3,000 posts on this board. I know that more than half of them are pointless. Although alot of the Home Audio boards is pointless. Anyways, although there is no real post limit, if I were to wish to post so much I should have done it in a more respectful and mature way of doing so. Just saying something blunt, starting an argument, and going to the next thread was not doing my responsibility as a person. I have acted with total disreguard to you guys feelings. One again, I am greatly sorry.

I can already picture some of the responses this thread will receive. Seems how I can always picture how Russ is going to reply to my threads before he does it. This thread seems to have a line up along the lines of ::BLEH BLEH BLEH!:: ::BLACK KETTLE POT?:: ::WHAT A FRIGGIN SOAP OPRA.::

Well if he wishes to respond like that, so be it.

I hope in the future, these boards can make a turn around. Because whether you guys will admit it - About every regular everyday visiter will have atleast half/half pointless/with a point. Its no big deal, I really dont care. I am the type of person that can make a thread like this in 5 minutes and move on. Thats why my fingers move before my mind tinkers. That is my main problem, I don't stop to think. I am truly sorry for doing that, it is a common mistake I usually make on Message Boards.

I hope that you guys can forgive me for how I have acted on the boards, and give me a second chance. I am not the person that you see on the boards. Atleast I don't think I am. Although I still like to joke around and call people names when the moment is there...lol! Oh well, pickers cant be choosers.

This is long winded, because a friend of mine off the boards sent me one in an E-Mail. I figure, I could just thank him - and address the boards. I am glad I did. I hope you all read this and reply.

    Mx,

sometimes we (adults) forget that you're still a teenager... and expect you to act and behave like an adult. Some of us adults act like children on occasion too.

In terms of your choices in audio equipment, you are miles ahead of your peers... and that's a big compliment. Yes, the love of Polk Audio speakers and audio in all it's forms are what bring us together here. We are as varied on this board as anywhere in the world. Sometimes things get taken the wrong way.. even though it wasn't meant to come off that way.

While you have never called me any names... i appreciate your being grown up enough to admit that in the past some of your behavior was questionable. I'm the same way.... some of my posts have been useless and pointless.. but this forum gives us the space to voice our opinions.. and we all have to remember... it's just that... our opinion.

So enjoy yourself and enjoy the time when you are young and experience new things in audio and in life.. because trust me.. you're only a young guy once.. and the years go by faster than we'd like to admit.

be cool and get your freaky, deaky musical groove on. :p

Oh my GOD, cry me an effin RIVER. Someone call Oprah. What is this, day-time drama? Friggin Days of Mx's life?

Seriously, MX, I'm honored you felt the need to mention me, personally. That says to me I mean *something* to you, and that's cool. I've impacted you in some way, good, bad, or both.

Good post, don't sweat the small stuff, and trust me, this board and it's posts, albiet entertaining, educational, confrontational, and sometimes downright mean, - doesn't mean SQUAT in the big picture. YOUR picture (and mine).

Don't let anyone tell you what you are, what you should believe in, what you represent. You will find out in the next 5-10 yrs who you REALLY are, and when it happens, its pure gold brotha. Stand tall, stand proud, be yourself. At the same time, listen, ask questions, *think* things through. Provide feedback, participate, teach others from your experience!

You shouldn't waste *much* (or any for the matter) of your time, worrying about what others may or may not think of you, take it all with a grain, no, take it with a whole ****' salt LICK.

Forget the post numbers, it means nothing, if anything, it segregates the members. I have WAY too much time on my hands judging by my post count, yet there are members here I YEARN for information from that (by the post count) appear to be 'newbies'.

There are a few, but very few 'truths' in audio, or life for that matter. It is a continuous journey, stay sharp, pay attention, and learn the lessons along the way. Experiement, try things, but stay safe. Form your own unbiased opinions, and you are 3/4's the way 'there'.

You are a sig man, so read mine, think about it, if it applies, good, if not, no big deal.

    Cheers,
    Rooster

Oh, and on audio truths, a wise man once told me:

' A dollar per watt is a fair price for most anything '

' The more lights and buzzers, the worse the piece will sound '

Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

    Vr3, good post.

I come here because I'm the only wannabe audiophile in my group of friends and this the best place I've found for a wealth of info and some great conversation. It's great when someone shows their cards once in while. It would be nice to see a few more threads like this. All the crap that's been going on in here lately hasn't helped anyone and this forum should be fun.

Now if I can just convince you about cables.... ;)

BTW, I'm not huge on post meter but I do come here regularly and only post when something really interests me not just for the hell of posting. I know I hit a couple of your threads. Says something about what you bring to the forum, a bit of youth most all of us can only remember. Enjoy, your summer off from school you'll miss them sooner than you think. I'm 27 and damn I miss those summers.

    Hey Mx,

That's cool bud. There's an old but true saying that most of us have heard, "the only person who doesn't make mistakes is the person who does nothing." With that being said, we all have made mistakes, and sometimes it takes a lot of courage to suck it up and admit it. A lot of grown up folks that I know will never fess up that they screwed up. What a shame. With all their pride and ego they pull a blanket over themselves and screen themselves from the rest of the world sometimes even putting the blame miraculously on others. These people I have secretly nicknamed as "teflon" because "nothing sticks to them."

On the other hand, you have made numerous contributions to this board. I enjoyed reading your New York City trip where you listened to those Wilson speakers. I appreciated the way you spent probably close to one hour writing a detailed review of your weekend activities. You my friend have listened to better speakers than I have at this point in my life with that audition.

You are young and have a full life ahead of you. You are a smart person too. You are light years ahead of most your age as far as audio is concerned. You are right at that age where other things will start to preoccupy your mind more than audio. Girls being a big part of that...

Have fun, be cool, treat others like you would want to be treated, and you will find that life can be what you want it to be...

    P.

    Hello,
My name is Trey, I suffer from Audioaklucluberosiscallifriskitdoubertoast! The doctors claimed i have the above; they also gave me medication. I have a feeling they made that huge long word up that I can't pronounce and gave me plezebos(sp). They gave me this piece of paper of the world, the doctor seemed to think alot when he was writing it like he was trying to think of something entirely stupid. By golly, I reckon he succeeded in most manners of stupidity.
So, I am here now, on the Club Polk Message Board on my Rehabilitation. I have met many awesome people, and some I havnt gotten along with, however it has been fun. But the thing about it is, it has not helped me to rehabilitate! It has helped me to get more involved and fall deeper into the obsession!

ANWAYS! Faster, I was just kidding. I got a kick out of your post none the less.
Thanx Dami, glad to know you liked my Wilson Audio review! I have a very small ego when it comes to admitting things. Not very hard to get me to confess to something entirely stupid. I'm the type of guy that asks for directions instead of getting lost! lol! Your right about the girl part, I have been talking to my Ex alot the past 2 weeks. And well, read the other post above I made. It all explains it in itself!:D :D:D:D:D lol! Anways, --- Anways, so many anyways, I need to stop saying anways, but anway - Thank you for all the replies.

That was very well written. To me that shows that you put a good deal of time and effort into it. Therefore it must mean something to you. I'm glad you got it off your chest. If you feel the need to change for yourself, do it. If you feel the need to change for other people, find different people.

Name calling can be fine when it's the right name to the right person. If either the name or the person are wrong, it can be very bad. A couple dozen years of experience and I still get it wrong from time to time.

If it seems like some people are hard on you it's just because, well, you deserved it. That and we're all reliving our childhood through you.
