Polk Noob, Need help matching speakers
Hello,
First off let me introduce myself as a noob. I know nothing about speakers. About 3 years ago I purchased some R50's but was unable to fit them in the room that my surround system was setup in. I finally moved to a larger house, took them out and set them up! They sound good although I am a bit deaf I think. Anyway, like I said the R50's are kinda old but I would like to pair them with speakers of equivalent quality. I am using a Yamaha RX-V1600 as my receiver. I am using the R50's as my front L R. I require a centre channel speaker; a sub and four bookshelf speakers to complete my 7.1 surround system. I would like them to be all Polk, but don't know what to get. Can anyone help me?
Thanks in Advance!

nice setup!Basement being done this is the potential setup:
TV - Panasonic 54G25
Receiver - Pioneer VSX1325 (all ready have)
Front - Polk RTI 10s
Centre - Polk CSI5
Rears - Polk FXIe
Sub - Velodyne DLS4000R -
Purchase any pair of Polk Bookshelves from the Monitor or R/M line and you will be fine for surrounds. Same is true of your center. For a sub I would go with a PSW505 or one of their DSW subs.
DO NOT PAY MSRP, look at Polks Ebay site or on the For Sale thread for some deals.
You should be able to piece together a really nice system from those lines for a very affordable price.
Also Newegg is a great place to shop for the Monitor series. They also constantly put them on sale for a great price, so if you can wait for them I would do so.
Example setup:
2 pairs of Polk Monitor 30's (160ish)
1 CS2 center (~120)
sub PSW505 (~250)"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963)
