Lsi9 owners: how tall are your speaker stands?

I still don't have a proper pair of speaker stands. Its my understanding that the tweeter should be ear level at listening position, so of course that height will vary from person to person based on personal height as well as the height of the chair/couch one has designated as a listening position. That said, I just wanted to get a sense of the height (range) most people here settled on. Moreover, maybe some people try to accomodate a flexible listening situation in which one isn't always fixed in the ideal listening position.
If your stands are lower than 22 inches or higher than 36 inches, please let us know the height.

Your post made me think of something that I should have stated more clearly in my opening description: I hope that former Lsi9 owners will vote/comment as well.2 Ch.

Not 9's but I had my LSi7's on 33" stands.
Don't know why anyone would want anymore than 6" above or below ear-level. Can't imagine it sounding anywhere near as good as it does when it is near ear-level.
Edit: I can't vote for 33" :eek:Truck setup

Oops...sorry about that. Most of the stands I've checked out online seem to come in intervals of even inches, so I didn't think it through before making the polll. Oh well, thanks for letting me know.2 Ch.

they are 28, but I wish they were slightly shorter, 26 perhaps

What do you guys think of the Bowers Wilkens 24" stands? I saw some at the shop where I bought my LSI9's. This is the best picture I can find:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Bowers+%26+Wilkins+-+24%22+Universal+Speaker+Stands+%28Pair%29/1502082.p?id=1218264251967&skuId=1502082&st=Bowers%20&%20Wilkins%20MM&contract_desc=null
I was hoping to go taller than 24" but as we go up in size we go up in price and down in stability since these speakers aren't light. I'm about 12' feet back and my ear is about 36" from the floor. 24" stands would get the tweeter to about 31"-32" from the ground. Would that do it?
Thanks -
I use Usher Audio stands for mine. No, reason to not look elsewhere and beyond the usual Sanus recommendations.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Ooh, nice! These? What finish?

Might be a bit of stretch for me at the moment though. I still need mo' amps. -
Yes, in cherry but nobody pays MSRP. They've had two versions historically and I wish I kept the even more hardcore, older version...but they still work very nicely. If you go thru speakers, even more than twice every couple years, get adjustable stands. 30" stands here which puts the tweeter at ear level when sitting.

Slouching for relaxed listening or sitting up straight for serious listening?
