    Welcome to Club Polk.
Use at least 16 AWG Cu speaker wire. I prefer using banana plugs.
Do you have a subwoofer? Do you have surround speakers?

If you have a subwoofer and do not have an external amp, I would recommend setting them to small with a 80Hz crossover.
If you don't have a subwoofer, don't have surround speakers, or have an external amp, I would set them to large.

All that said, like all things audio, let your ears decide. Try it both ways and set it to what you pefer.

I went with m70s,cs2,4m30s and a 505 Just ordered them off newegg.I was looking at banana plugs on monoprice but I'm not sure if they'll fit read a post on here where someone was having trouble with banana plugs on thier m70s

I set the speakers to small and the crossover to 80hz, I think it sounds the best for my system. Play with it and see what sounds best to you but that would be a good start.

Sounds like your well on your way. Banana plugs, all the way and I always +1 standard recommendations, just like with tires. If the minimum, perfectly suitable suggestion is 16...go with 14 and never look back. I run 10g for everything in my HT but that's overkill.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
