LSi9 A Sad Story

Sad at several levels. Stubby emailed me last night to tell me about these LSi9's on local Craiglist. I called about an hour after the posting. The girl/lady/woman/very hot blonde (kid you not) had them because when she and her fiance broke off the engagement, he took a pair and she took a pair....I would have just kep her....she was moving out of her condo this morning and so I went over and got the speakers and some very nice and heavy stands for $200 total.....didn't haggle with her. She didn't have time for breakfast.
The drivers look and sound perfect. I have only seen this color one other time.
I plan to keep the stands and sell the speakers to Stubby for $75 +/-.
One speaker is heavily scratched...allegedly because it had been installed in a wall....ain't buying that...a cat looked like it could have been involved.
At any rate, they sound great and this color should be easy (for Stubman) to fix up. Pics below.

P.S. I need some spikes for stands and also some spades for binding posts on my Rotel amp....sources? I often use parts-express but sure of their product quality
Hopefully, Paul will get the cabs looking good and port new pics....what a price....what a seller.....(but about the age of my own daughter)... -
There is no way I would let my Fiance run off with a pair of my speakers.

Okay dude if she's hot- You gotta act quick! Think of a reason, any reason, to try and talk to her. At this point she probably needs a shoulder to cry on. Again- Great find!LIVING ROOM:

I have those same stands for my Paradigm Ref 20's. If I can find the instruction sheet for them I can scan and email it to you so you know where to get parts. The big question is if I kept the instruction sheet for a pair of speaker stands!DKG999

.....sad that she is selling because her engagement broke off....sad because she has to move out of town...sad because someone scratched the crap out of one very nice speaker...sad because at 59, I don't even flirt with women younger than 40 anymore....sad because these will belong to Stubby because I would not have known about them if he had not emailed me...(I don't text).....
here's a pic I found from her employer's website....she was really strong....grabbed a speaker in each hand.... -
