Let me start off by saying I am far from an audiophile. I recently acquired a MicroPro4000....as it stands this is the worst sub I have heard since my old HTIB days. I don't have the remote or the mic yet...is tuning this thing the key? It seems very loose. Vibrates plenty...but the sound is almost over powered by the subs in my Lsi25s....for an $1800 sub I would expect more...please help

I have two and they sound outstanding when setup correctly. Lots of low end rumble.
We need more info.
What volume are you running on the sub?
What size room? -

I have two as well and they sound fine. You may need to double check your interpretation of the manual for either the subwoofer or your AVR. Why don't you have the remote or microphone? The subwoofers in the LSi25 are sub-standard at best so clearly you have an issue.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

speakers set on small or large?
whats your crossover set at?
what are the amp settings on the sub (volume level), the reciever?
lots of factors could be affecting this......how did you set it up?
where is it positioned? (that makes a difference too)Living Room 2 Channel -

I dont have the remote or mic yet because I bought it from a forum member and he forgot the power cord, mic and remote...hopefully he is mailing all of the above. As far as the set up...I have tried having the sub positioned up front on the right outside the 25s as well as on both the left and right side center of the room. As far as the receiver I have it set to 80 (THX) for the sub and the 25s set to full. The gain on the receiver is at 0.0 and the volume on the sub is at 23. I tried toying with it more today and I cannot get it to sound right. Like I said it seems really loose and looks to be bottoming out but doesn't produce the kind of bass I think it should. Thanks for any help.Living Room

ok...ran the oprtimizer...moved the sub away from the corner...ran audigy...turned the level up on the sub and down on the reciever...long story short got it tuned in. I take back everything I said about this sub. The only thing it doesnt have that i wanted was that huge pound that a larger sub would have...but other than that this sub is awesome...does everything i need it too...hopefully i can acquire another one soonLiving Room
