Hi guys,
I'm looking to get a powerconditioner/surge protector for my gear. Of course
price is an issue and have seen a couple of AdcomAC515 on another site. The
Adcom would be a great match for I have an Adcom gfa555 amp.

I would recommend finding a Tice power block. Something like this:

Or something pricier but worth the look: APC power conditioner with backup battery:

I picked up one of these return/refurb APC J10's a few weeks ago. Couldn't be happier with it. Can't beat the price either.

^^^Yeah, as recommended by earthy, one of the returned J10's - full warranty, free shipping (these things are heavy)- would be a good choice too.

I should have mentioned heavy, and with soft feet that don't let it slide. I put paper under the feet until I had it positioned on my shelf. It's also about 2 miles deep. Well, closer to 20" but too deep for my current stand. Hangs out the front. Time to build one since my amp is just as big.Polk Audio SDA SRS 2.3TL

Thanks for the heads up on the j10 deal. At those prices, its a no brainer. -
I would not buy the APC J10 if you are using it on your amp. It has a "Waveform Type: Stepped Approximation To A Sinewave" so it is not a true sinewave and not good for power amps. It is fine for computers but it is not what I would use on my amps.Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t

The APC S15 has is a true sine wave. $299.88 for white.

Who plugs power amps into a power conditioner? Most Amp manufacturers tell you to plug the amps in the wall. Most amps have their own built in protective circuitry. I am just curious.
-
I don't run my "power amps" from my J10 or Cyberpower unit in my HT. I do however run my Onkyo 505 plugged into one in my HT. I don't want the movie to stop just because I lost power.
This was discussed in detail in this thread
