How much are they worth?

I'm thinking about selling 3 sets of speakers I have, and need some help as to what I should ask. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Set 1. SDA 2Btl
Wood and grill cloth in very good condition.
These speakers have all the mods done in Mid August 2010:
RDO 198's
Crossover rebuild/upgrade to tl by Ben (all Sonicaps)
Larry's retainer rings installed on Tweeters, Mid Woofers, and Passive Radiators
New Vampire Wire BPHEX/CB Binding posts.
Dynamat Extreme installed on MW and PR
Mortite installed on all drivers and PR

Set 2. SDA 2A
My original Polk speakers purchased in the 80's. Vinyl covering on cabinets in good condition, as are the grills. Feet (the part that touches the ground) are in need of attention due to some deterioration of the MDF. Crossovers not rebuilt yet.
RDO 194's
Larry's retainer rings installed on Mid Woofers, and Passive Radiators.
(Have the tweeter brackets, but not installed yet.)
Dynamat Extreme installed on MW and PR
Mortite installed on all drivers and PR

Set 3. Monitor 10A with Peerless tweeters
Speakers in very good condition.
No upgrades done yet.
Have a set of Larry's rings and brackets to go with these speakers.

So what do you think they are worth?

    5 hundy, me thinks for the 2b's...we all know, well worth that number..will you get it? stranger things have happened:biggrin: if it's a polkie and they know the upgrade, condition and the dr.'s involved in the procedures, they could go fast...GLWYS

    Speakers with mods are worth good money to the select knowledgeable ones. Unfortunately the uninitiated will just glance, compare them with stock and think they are too expensive. Just list them for what you are willing to sell them for, gauge the interest and then adjust the price accordingly. GLWS.

    Well, I am getting ready to do the mods to my set of SRS 2's, and am looking to get some $ to help with that. The 2Btl's sound so good, and I have a lot tied up in them, with all the mods, so I'd really hate to part with them. Wish I was rich, and had a huge home so I'd have a place to use the 2Btl's! This is all still up in the air, and have not made any decision yet.

    Not really. You don't get much of a return for that kind of investment regardless of the buyer.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    I've got SRS2s that I'm holding off on upgrading, in the hopes of finding some 2.3TLs to re-do instead. You sure you'll be satisfied with the 2s?:biggrin:

    Agreed!! IMO make sure you pick what you want and know that your going to keep them for awhile before you spend the money on quality/full upgrades.

    You might get a little more money depending on the buyer but forget getting your full investment back. Well don't count on it anyway.

    I have my Tall,Grande,Venti SDA's and plan on keeping them for awhile a long while. I have yet to do the upgades on my Tall set (CRS+'s) lol.

    My opinion only, but the modded 2B's are the keepers. They will work well in virtually any living space, sound better every day you use them after mods, handle any power you throw at them, and can easily be moved around by one person. Bigger Polk's are nice, but won't work in every space.

    I'm already satisfied with the SRS 2's, just want a higher level of satisfaction with them as I found with the 2Btl's! :D There was such a wonderful improvement when the upgrade was completed. I'm hoping the SRS 2's will have similar improvements when upgraded to tl. The SRS 2's have such wonderful bass and my ears tell me if I can get the high end to sound like the 2B tl's, then I would be in Heaven!
