PSB 5.1 speakers........

I am thinking of moving my PSB set-up. I have used it for about 2 years in my primary television room. It has been used for music and HT. I have just decided that I wanted to try something new. There is nothing at all aesthetically or functionally wrong with these speakers except the subwoofer grill is missing pegs. These definitely hold their own in their price range and have been referred to as "the Canadian Polk". I haven't been disppointed at any time with this set-up; just get bored from time to time and want to try new gear.

I will post up pictures this evening for anyone interetsed. At this time, I am keeping this local only and can help with delivery (MD/DC/VA area) and would like to sell it as a set considering it is timbre matched. If I can sell all pieces, I will consider splitting them up. I still have all original boxes and documents.

Can add a B&K AVR-202 as well for a full set-up. Add a dvd player and you are set for a HT. $750 for everything. will consider shipping at buyers expense.

Pics as promised.....(Notice that one of the tweeters in the B25's is black. They replaced that after the frame of the original cracked during shipping. It is functionally and sonically perfect.)

I am bumping this one last time before going to ebay. Only the PSB's (minus the subwoofer) are up for sale currently. So it would be a really nice 5.0 set-up on the cheap. Willing to ship at buyers expense. I am asking $400 obo for the B25's the B15's and the C40. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a nicer set of speakers for so little coin.

Will do; thanks Mark. I am growing tired of the listing fees, the percentage of sale and the paypal fees associated with selling on e-bay. It's a lot like the baggage fees on airlines. Just charge me once for a lump sum so I don't have to feel like I am being gouged everytime I get an invoice!

Hmmm. Shawn, do you have any idea how these might compare to a speaker line in the current Polk lineup? I'm asking because I'd like to be able to (at least theoretically) compare them to something that I might have heard.

I really can't say as I haven't had much experience with Polk bookshelves. I can say that I currently have RT55's and RT35's and the PSB's compare very favorably to them. However because the RT line is much larger and in the case of the 55's has dual woofers, they do not have the bass response that the RT's do. But in HT applications, that should be a moot point with a subwoofer.

Also, for what its worth, I have heard of multiple people refer to PSB as teh "Canadian Polks". They really are a nice speaker and come with a nice fit and finish and price to performance ratio.

Thanks..........I actually can't believe these are still here. I can tell you that I would rather store these for future use than go any lower on the price. For the price and condition of these speakers, I can't imagine a better 5.0 set-up.

I hear ya man. For 375$ it's an absolute STEAL. I had a pair of B15's and the C40 with T65's about 2 years ago and it was amazing system. I paid more for the bookshelves and center than you're asking for the whole set!

You should try posting it on craigslist and other forums if you haven't already.

OK last call on these. $350 (plus shipping) and they are yours. Open to trades as well. Looking for a HT preamp to replace the Outlaw 950 just for something different. If they don't sell here off to ebay or storage.

I actually didn't. Wife wanted them out of the house so I listed them for $425 buy-it-now and took a bit of a hit on shipping, so it all evened out. Wasn't looking to make a boatload, but would have been nice to not charge $90 for shipping and have it cost $145.:eek:

Anyways, it got me a chance to rid the house of some stuff in order to get some new gear. It's all a process. I always try to flip gear to get gear and have been fortunate on this forum to save some money in doing so.
