Hi everybody, first post. I would like to elevate the tweeters beyond the standard 12" from mid-woofer. I recently read that not all compontent speakers would suffer phase interference. How about the db6501's? Any help please.

It's hard to say, as distance is only part of the equation. It also can depend on how each speaker is facing as well as any obstacles between them.
For reference, I am using a pair of Focal Polyglass 165VR speakers in my CRV in the factory mounting locations. The midwoofers are in the doors on the bottom front, and the tweeters are in the top corners of the dash at a 45 degree angle. They are approximately 24" apart in these locations. To me, they sound great and I don't notice any phasing issues. However, it's possible I'm just not as sensitive to this as others.
What I would suggest is temporarily placing the tweeters where you want them and see how they sound. If you don't like the sound, try them in other places.
