Hello guys,
i ran into a pawn shop that have this items and some onkyo vintage and sansui receivers. However this are the ones i liked because they seem in better conditions.
The kr 5010 was turned on and it was incredible how much power they seemed to have. I would say conditions 7/10, maube 6/10 and is selling for 90.00
the marantz i dod not turn on but it is much heavier and they are selling for 125.
Just wondering if either is worth to have some vintage equipment.
Thanks,
ed

Kenwood's over priced; the Marantz is probably a fair price if it works (due to their rather Baroque styling, they're awfully popular as collectibles; not that they sound all that great if you ask me).

You might wanna look at that vintage Onkyo gear as well! Any of it say "Integra" after the Onkyo badge/logo? Any of it power amps or preamps or just older receivers?--Gary--
Onkyo Integra M504, Bottlehead Foreplay III, Denon SACD, Thiel CS2.3, NHT VT-2, VT-3 and Evolution T6, Infinity RSIIIa, SDA1C and a few dozen other speakers around the house I change in and out. -
FWIW (and that ain't much) my favorite massmarket stuff then (and, as vintage/collectible equipment today) was and is Yamaha.

Elegant cosmetics (Yamaha's recently introduced new equipment that essentially reproduces their late 1970s design aesthetic) and very good sound.
The design aesthetic of the 1970s Superscope-era Marantz is certainly impressive in a "more is more" way... it certainly reminds me of the days of the 1977 Pontiac TransAm, opera windows, brocade upholstery, "fine Corinthian leather" (OK, that came a tad later), leisure suits, and coke spoons as fashion accessories :-P

OK, those are the second iteration of the 2xxxB receivers with silver dials; I didn't have a handy scan of the earlier blackout-dial Marantz 2xxx or 2xxxB receivers... but I do have this charmingly '70s artist's impressionistic rendition of a Marantz quad receiver from the cover of a catalog (the one and only edition?) from Baltimore's own Gordon Miller Music...
