Cut myself with a razor blade

I really hate when I cut myself with a razor blade. I'm not talking about shaving - I mean with something like a utility knife. Accidentally, of course. Tonight I stupidly cut my thumb while working on a project. Car stereo installation. Bled forever and wasted my precious time... Yeah.

    Ouch!

No stitches needed I hope? Had a friend accidentally cut himself with a new issued K-bar trying to open up an MRE. He bled continuously for awhile and needed stitches.

Btw, why'd you need a razor blade for a car stereo installation?

Trimming an oem bracket to fit an aftermarket speaker. Not a serious cut, just an annoying one. No stitches or anything. Razor blade cuts just always make me squeamish... I even hate scenes in movies involving razor blades.

I'm guessing you don't like glass cuts either then... there is something weird feeling about how really sharp stuff just kinda separates the skin as opposed to tearing it... and how a tiny sharp cut can bleed forever compared to a tear or scrape.

That one had to hurt! It's a good thing I don't have a scar for every injury over the years.

Edit: Never mind, scars are cool. I do wish I had more.

Yeah, glass shards are never much fun either... especially when they bury themselves below the surface of the skin.

That's what I try to live by but sometimes it's just better to bring the blade back at me. I'm triple careful when that happens.

Razor knifes are no joke. Alot of damage can happen in a split second for sure.

    I hope you heal quick.
Put some vitamin e on it as soon as the cut stays closed on its own.

Neosporin w/pain relief is very , very good for cuts in the beginning.I've been using it for years.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

This forum is called CLUB POLK isn't it?
Guys and gals have been coming in and out of the clubhouse here (per say) and talking about things that have happened to them.
This could be any bar in the nation but it's here.

    Remember "Cheers"

I don't drink so I come here where others have interests in Polks' speakers and company news.
There's plenty of full bars around here where just this kind of talking is happening. No DUI will be issued from coming here.

At some Polk-Fest, we might want to look at that battle scar he just told us about, who knows.

Oh, I always do... about 99% of the time!

It only turned out to be about a half-inch long cut, but from the amount of blood, you'd have thought it worse. The problem with these cuts is that they're so straight and clean that they don't seem to want to close easily.

Yes, that triple-antibiotic stuff is good. We buy the store-brand - it's actually called Triple-Antibiotic.

Earlier today, I got to laughing when I was looking my thumb over and saw the scar near the tip of my pinkie finger that runs from one side of the nail, all the way around the finger to the other side of the nail. Years ago, I reached into the discharge chute of a gas-powered chipper-shredder to clear a jam... I had shut the engine off, but reached in just a split second too soon. The fingernail was the only thing holding the tip of my finger on. I really do know better. Really.

Trust me. I use boxcutters all day, everyday. I supervise many who do, too. I know what a nice sharp razor cut will do. Blood, blood, blood. Pain in the **** plus that just a little bit more than a paper cut ouch.

    Gotta be careful.......
