I wasn't really in the market for more speakers but ran across these on craigslist and wanted to know if it was a good deal or not? No affiliation just curious!

Picture is a bit small, but they do seem to be in good shape. Don't know if that cloth is dirty or if it's just the crappy lens on the camera.

Still, at $560 they're slightly overpriced.

    Phoenix Gold RSD65CS

Ok, just curious. I wasn't really shopping for new speakers but eventually wanted to add a 2 channel setup and wanted to make sure I wasn't passing up a great deal or anything. I hardly ever see SDA's for sale and had no clue what they're worth.

Those are on ebay right now, too. They've been there for a little while, so he may come down. I've seen them go for more, and I've seen them go for less. Usually less. I just got a great pair this weekend for less, but regardless of what they've gone for in the past, it would be hard to find a better sounding pair of speakers for the money. 300, 500, 700... whatever... 1C's are a unique speaker, and if you want them you'll be glad you got them. That being said, you can definitely get into SDA's for a lot cheaper to see if you even like them.

That's good advice, i've never even heard SDA's before and eventually wanted to setup a 2ch rig, but i really need to finish my theater room first so I wasn't in a hurry to pick anything up. I just didn't want to find out they were worth 800-1,000 or something and that i'd missed out. I missed out on a pair of Klipsch heresey's that the tags had fallen off and the guy didn't know what they were, in great shape he sold the pair for $80, I missed it by an hour!

Man, too bad about the $80 Heresey's!

Don't worry about skipping those 1C's. They'd only be worth it if you'd been specifically looking for them for a while with no luck and just HAD to have'em. Get your theater room done first, then find some 2-channel speakers, and, when you do, look for SDA's. They sound nothing like the Polks you have now, so you may not even like them.. but for music I'd be suprised if you didn't.
