They should have never brought him back in the first place, and Favre should be riding his tractor into the sunset, or drinking Juleps from a rocking chair. Yea they missed the 4PM deadline. Also I heard Childress announced it to the media but didn't clear it with management. The wheels are coming off the bus in Minny. Can't say that I blame him after Randy's love fest with the Pats interview after the game. Wow Randy you really did a lot of damage in 4 weeks. Whoever claims him, if he does get released can look foward to misery. The problem in Minnesota was hardly Randy Moss. He was there for four games. Its your mentally retarded coach and your attention ****, small cocked QB.

Childress is an idiot, no argument from me on that...As the stories pile up about Randy Moss’ brief four-game return to the Minnesota Vikings, the one that ended when he was officially placed on waivers by the team today, it becomes evident that no one could have been surprised it ended abruptly.
Certainly there could be a faction of players who don’t approve of the move that was made by coach Brad Childress – cutting the wide receiver only weeks after trading a third-round draft pick for him. But the locker room knew the situation was combustible.
As one league source explained to the National Football Post this afternoon, Moss was loudly complaining following the Green Bay game Oct. 24, his third in a Vikings uniform. This situation was coming to a head well before the team went to play at New England this past Sunday.
“I cannot play for this coach,” Moss said to teammates in the vicinity as the club departed Green Bay. “I’m one and done.”
The one Moss meant was one season. He got one more game before he was done. The Minneapolis Star Tribune details an incident in the team’s locker room just last week when Moss blew up at a caterer that was there to provide lunch to the team following practice.
“(Moss) came walking up," Gus Tinucci of Tinucci's explained to the Star Tribune. "There were a couple of guys that were in line. I knew Brett (Favre) put his helmet down. I met him carving. I was carving some meat for a guy and all of a sudden I heard all this screaming and I was like, 'Are you kidding me?' I knew who it was immediately. I looked up and there he was. (Moss said), 'I wouldn't feed this (expletive) to my (expletive) dog.' I was in shock. I couldn't believe it. It was quiet in there.”
A blow up over lunch certainly isn’t something that would have greased the skids for Moss. But it’s the kind of irrational behavior that’s marked his career. What happened was Moss locked horns with Childress. There are some players that may wholeheartedly agree with much of what Moss complained about when it came to the coach, but Childress wasn’t going to put up with a malcontent.
You would think Childress and the Vikings knew what they were getting. Hopefully, it’s a lesson learned for Childress, but you have to wonder if he’s going to be done himself in Minnesota following the season. There’s a fine in-house candidate right now to take over on an interim basis, defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier.
That said, this kind of behavior from Moss, and the lavish praise heaped upon Belichek and the Patriots(They did not want him either) and the fact that only one team wanted to take a shot with him indicated there is FAR more to the story that we will ever know. Moss is an **** of the first order and everyone that has been around him knows that he is the center of the universe. Fail to recognise that and you can kiss his royal behind.
Tinucci's, by the way, is an outstanding place to grab some of the best food in the Twin Cities. In his prior history with the Vikings, he ran over a meter maid with his S600 AMG Benz rather than accept a 15.00 parking ticket. Yeah... Childress' fault for giving this **** a shot, but Moss is a walking mistake all by himself. The Gear... It's not that only one team wanted him John, other teams that may have wanted him were probably waiting for him to clear waivers so they wouldn't have to pay as much."They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

That is not entirely correct. several teams took a pass altogether, including the Bears, Dolphins and New Orleans, precisely due to his reputation. In Miami, Players told their coach to please take a walk. Moss is to a football team what stage 4 cancer is to a life-long 4 pack a day smoker, a death sentance. The Gear... So now he's with my beloved Titans.
I think thatll be ok for one season. Jeff Fisher handled Albert Haynesworth and Adam Jones for a long time and kept them relatively under control so I think he'll be able to keep Moss under control for the rest of the season. Plus you gotta think Moss will be on his best behavior since he's on year to year deals now and he's playing for a contract. TO straightened up pretty good when he went year to year.
It would be a great match. Youve got the most mobile QB in the league, the fastest and arguably best running back in the league and now a hall of fame deep threat. That should theoretically stretch out defenses pretty good and CJ only needs one little opening and he's 85 yards gone! But you bunch up the line like teams have been doing this year and Moss will be 85 yards gone (assuming Young can get it to him).
They desperately need a quarterback but I think Young is good enough now that they can use Moss' talents. As a diehard Titans fan since they became the Titans back in 99, Im excited about this. The AFC is pretty close right now and the Titans are right there in the mix and while I maintain theyll never win a Super Bowl with Young at the helm, adding Moss gives them a much better chance. Now if the Patriots would put Brady on waivers!!!polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

Ummmm yeah.... Good luck on that. Moss is Moss and no coach can change that. He needed to learn some people skills. Chris Carter hung it up because he didn't want to play another season with this punk. I remember when Carter came into the league, and he was as much a problem as Moss back then. Tell that to Bill Belichick. He kept Moss under control for 2 years. It can be done if its a tight, disciplined coach and staff which New England is and Minnesota isnt. Fisher runs a pretty tight ship so he should be able to handle him. And Moss also knows that, just like TO, he starts being a huge jack **** and its going to be really hard to find a team next year. Ask TO. He barely got the Cinci job this year and at one point it didnt look like any team was going to pick him up.
I dont know, maybe youre right and Moss will be a giant dick and distraction for the team but I think if it gets to that, Fisher will cut him just like Childress did. If so, nothing lost. If he straightens up and acts right, he gives the Titans a much better shot at the post season.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

The titans were doing pretty damn good this year until last game. I really cant believe they lost to the chargers...
I wish they'd get rid of Vince Young though. He's been getting better...but I don't think he'll ever be a top caliber QB.

Not bitter at all actually. If you check out my predictions for my team's success this season, I have been right on the money. One very consistent position I have had about Moss since the 2000 season is that he is a first order jackass. I was glad he was gone when he left and though I must admit I had a hope or two when he returned, that changed quickly when I saw he still liked to stand on the sidelines and watch rather than fully commit to a play, unless the ball had his number attached to it. I sound like I am beating an old horse now, so I will say it one last time.. There ain't no I in team, and you cannot build a team that plays like they only care about themselves...
With the way this season looks, the Vikings will be the next Detroit in their division and deserve to play the next decade in obscurity. I would love to see them win, but facts is facts. The Gear... Saw this the other day, not that big of a deal IMO as he didn't really do a whole heck of a lot in 4 games.
And I do agree, he just need to make sure when he says I won't speak to the media for the rest of the season it should of been for the rest of his life.
