In my home computer. Nothing has changed that I know of. I use IE 8. (I use the same in my laptop with no problems).

All I see is what you can see in the image below. Any ideas??

Broken link probably due to a connection problem. Have you updated your IE and Flash installations lately? If not, you should.

Also, run yourself some anti-spyware software. Some particularly annoying version can hijack the processes behind IE and interrupt connections that they use to throw ads up. If you have a popup blocker installed, it will stop those ads and any flash object will end up like you see above because it cannot access the executable to load the flash object it needs to play the video.

John, this is happening with videos embedded in the forum. It's not the pop up blocker because I've always had it and never had this problem before. I disabled it and the problem is still there. My IE an flash player are up to date.

    Any other ideas?

And I can see the videos in other sites. Seems like the problem is only here. Maybe I was banned and don't know it??

    No, it's something goofy.

What other sites? Other forums or places like Google Video or YouTube? 'Cause those videos are not published by Flash but rather Java objects. handled differently by a different plug in.

Meanwhile, look at this site from Adobe about issues with embedded video in IE8: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html

Have you updated your Java JRE?

Did you try doing the usual stuff like emptying your cache? No idea WHY that would matter, but who the hell knows.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

The usual stuff? I don't think I know how to "empty my cache".

Go to the Tools menu in IE8. Find the entry that says "Internet Options".

2nd section down "Browsing History". Click on the Delete button. It should ask you what you want to delete. Delete it all. You'll have to relogin in to places you don't have passwords saved but it should clear your cache, cookies and other typical browsing offal and garbage out of the cache.
