Web Hosting Recommendations

Does anybody have any recommendations for a good web hosting company, or at least know where I can find reliable reviews?

When I search in Google, all my search results are just different variations of something similar to www.webhostingtopten.com and all just list the same companies. I'm convinced that all these are just sites put up by the companies themselves and don't trust a bit of it.

I've yet to find an article or a review from a third party that I trust. I'm with a company called Bizland right now and I'm unsatisfied with my service and looking alternatives...

Can anyone help me out?

I use Webfaction for all my sites and projects. Amazing technical support, excellent pricing, great uptime and no nickel and dimming. Can't recommend it enough.

See, that's what I'm talking about, wasn't on a single one of those 'reviews' I found. I'll check it out.

The big problem with top links for 'web hosting' is the amount of affiliation money attached to them. I remember having similar problems finding competent reliable reviews when I was moving hosts.

It should be noted that they deploy lamp stacks, so if you're a Microsoft shop you'll be out of luck.

I use http://www.angryhosting.com for all my sites. They are pretty much hands off and just maintain servers. I rarely have issues with them and downtime is rarely unplanned. They are cheap too and do not have many restrictions on what you can and can't do.

Then again, they aren't for the novice or uninitiated in the world of web development. But if it's the kind of thing you are looking for, I put my stamp of approval on them.

I use GoDaddy. Bought my domain and hosting from them. It's pretty cheap, and very dependable.

I run a couple sites on Godaddy. I like their web based email client. You could of course run your own, but their version is superior to all the free versions that I looked at. My only complaint is their convoluted website that constantly pushes crap on you. Other than that they are top notch. Reliable, good tech support, and notices when things are about to expire.

i use Ipower.com. they are average and fairly cheap. Most of these companies are not going to bend over backwards for you but you get what you pay for.

I had one of their virtual servers and it was alot more money and the product was alot better.

I decided to give Webfaction a try, and their support has been great so far. It's not for the faint of heart though, as the simple control panel GUI is gone and I'm finding myself doing something like SSHing into my account using command lines to set up PHP...

This will be a good learning experience, but it's not for the amateur web designer.

Instead of searching in google (or) having reviews about the site. I will just share my Experience about Web Hosting. I used Linux web Hosting by visiting this site 9cubehosting.com which provides unlimited space, bandwidth and databases etc.. This service can be used in USA, UK and Australia. This makes your site very secure and relaible that offers SSL certificates, Virus protection and SPAM filters. Your domain is also kept safe with WHOIS protection.
