Where does the RT16 stand vs RTi-A5, A7 and A9?
I have two pairs or polk RT16 which I like them very much but one of the woofer is sounding funny. I am not sure if i can get the replacement part.I am interested in the Rti-A series but don't know which one to get.
thanks
Tran.

Those speakers are totally different beasts. If you want to replace them go with the RTi-A5 or A7. The A9 is in the class with RT20p's.

You can't really go wrong with any of them however.

It would be closest in specs and performance to the RtiA7, although they sound different. If you get the new speakers, You should part out the old ones.

I'd just fix the old ones, RT16s aren't horrible at all. But yeah if you go with the new RTI-A series, get all matching sets so it sounds right.

I have RT16's and I think they're great. It all comes down to personal preference, one series isn't really "better" than another, it all personal taste. My ears like 'em :D

I love the RT series. Dad has the RT20p's, I had RT8s for a while. I had RT25/i's, RT F/X's, etc.

Currently I've got the RT55's and love them to death.

one pair for ht and one pair for 2ch music. I am going to replace the new RTi-AX for music. I think A7 is about right( cost issue) but I might check out refurbished A9 on ebay.
