Ok so im thinking of upgrading the a7's to the lsi9's and lsic center would the 9's look better in cherry or the other color"? would the 9's sound better than the a'7s?! wuts the diffrence in sound i kan get the 9's for 700 new!! and was wondering if it would be better! and would my emotiva amp be to much?!

    All rather subjective.

    I will say that the Emotiva won't be too much for the LSi9's. I had 7's and had it hooked up to a way better amp and drove it to levels that'd send you running out of the house!

    You can't really overpower a speaker, since it'll reach volumes that'll make your ears bleed before the speakers themselves give out. Underpowering is what ultimately destroys speakers, which causes the drivers to play erratically trying to reach levels it can't because the demand it causes on the amplifier. The amplifier in turn cannot control said-speakers and the speakers just blow out.

    As far as the color goes...they both look great. It simply depends on which you prefer.

    Also, there is no such thing as an amp being "too much" for a pair of speakers. There is however such a thing as a pair of speakers being too much for an amp.
