I've just upgraded my surrounds to 2 LSIFX's. They are the only speakers using the TX-NR906's amps as I have a XPA-3 for the front end. The receiver is set for 6 Ohms. Is there any danger to the equipment in this configuration? Most of my use is for moderate level music and TV. But occasionally a movie gets turned up to the -15 level.

Very nice system, those LSIFX's are great surround speakers, you should be fine with the avr powering the rears.

I'm stoked. My finance committee just approved the purchase (Buy It Now price) of Refurbished LSi F/X from Polk Direct!
Do you hear that buzzing noise?

Good news. Thanks all. Last November I started upgrading my Rti8’s and Fxi3’s (up for sale) to Lsi’s. Mostly purchased from Polk Direct I’ve never been disappointed. I did downgrade from a 7.1 to 5.1.
