Hi folks
I'm driving out to the Houston area (Pearland actually) and driving back to L.A. Can anyone suggest a nice scenic route to get back to L.A.? I will have about 1 week to get back. Would maybe like to stop and the Grand Canyon, but don't have to.
Thanks in Advance

I'm not familiar with everything on I-40, but I'd recommend hitting Carlsbad Caverns off I-10, then hitting Tucson and the Sonoran Desert (weather is BEAUTIFUL right now) , then go north to Phoenix, hit Sedona, hit Flagstaff/Williams/Grand Canyon, then Vegas, then back to LA. I'd do the Hoover Dam tour while in Vegas.

I can't thing of a better plan. Excellent trip If you don't know Sedona, you'll love it. Enjoy!"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it." Neil deGrasse Tyson. -
I am 10min from Pearland, but have made that trip I-sig is talking about Carlsbad is nice that whole area is and you should catch a nice fall season beginning in New Mexico.
Not sure if you can hit and enjoy and make the drive in 7 days but google around and pick the ones most interesting or even yet the ones furthest from home, you can always pick up the closer ones later...my.02...be safe2-channel: Modwright KWI-200 Integrated, Dynaudio C1-II Signatures

Thanks everyone. I'm from L.A. Vegas won't be on my agenda, but everything else sounds great.
What highway do I start out on from Pearland? And what should I hit first coming back this way? -
I second Carlsbad Caverns, I have been there about 10 times and it never gets old.
