I use adhesive backed cork disks between my stand plate and speakers. The cork has a natural grip on the wood, but leaves no marks. Check it out.

nice!! I'll keep that in mind,
on the same note, I recently usd the rubber feet that came with a pair of LSi9's and just put them on the stand.....seems to work pretty darn good too but not everyone can get there hands on them. the cork plan seems to be a great fix attainable by allLiving Room 2 Channel -

Cork discs - Good to know for my next stands.
Blu-tack - another good idea.
Face, I have not use blu-tack in awhile but remember it has a little oily feel to it. Any problem with that on wood veneer speakers? Thanks.
