Save your money on the 1% Dayton's. The 5% caps are much tighter than you would expect, and the stock ones were 10-20%. Also consider Mill's resistors when you are ordering from PartsExpress.
    Glad you are enjoying them.
    Take care.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

    Hi Ben,
I know their is no evidence that 1% capacitors make any diffrence to sound quality and you could say the cost wasnt warranted but I thought for the price they were a better deal than any other sound capacitor out thier. Daytons are cheap even the 1% ones. In my case they have been a great deal and Im very happy with the sound. The cost of mills resistors was another issue and getting them for a good price posted was an issue for me.

From what Ive read their isnt any evidence that wire wound resistors cause better quality sound in crossover circuits. So I got the Monocor 12watts for $10 delivered. They work fine maybe the mills would be better I cant say.Im just glad I got these speakers sounding right. Now I have to start on the RT25i's.Thanks for your help Ben, Id still be chasing my tail if you didnt pick up the incorrect resistor size issue.

The next the best thing to two naked blondes. Will be a few weeks before I get these boxes finished. They will come up very nice when finished, just got to sort out the blown cross overs and save some more cash for a few more drivers. They wont be all black like the original vinyl's, Ive decided to go for a wood look to match my other cheery Polks.

So it’s been almost 15 years Did you ever finish them?
