I'm looking for an online lookup where you enter the VIN of a new car in dealer inventory (they usually list them in their online ads) and it returns, among other things, the day the dealer took possession of the car. I know there is a tool like this because I used one before but didn't bookmark the site.

Anyone know of a webiste like this?

Sure, just look through the manufacturer's site itself. I found one for my old focus and pt cruiser just to take a look at options/etc. available. Take a look at forums as well.
