There's been a slowdown in activity here lately. Is that summer kicking in or what?

    Ya, I saw that.

Hey, I was checking out Pearl Jam's vitalogy today. This is what I found inside the liner notes:

A CD is like BAD ACID. Not for production or consumption.

    VIVA LA VINYL

It's under Spin the Black Circle.

You should take up golf. It kicks ****.

Out in the hot sun, cranking a little ball 250 yards down a perfectly groomed fairway. Waiting on the next shot is a prefectly cut green, you stiff it and putt a bird. Awesome.

Yeah, golf rules. Something about making that little ball go 175 yards over a tree, over the water hazard, and miss the greenside bunker with a nice soft landing on the green just feels awesome. Okay so I can only pull that off maybe 1 in 3 shots or something but I keep trying!

I've been exact opposite. Rain every day here for the past month it seems. No golf so I'm forced to stay more indoors.

I've noticed less activity too. Must be having good weather somewhere besides here. It's getting plan disguisting down here with all the rain. It's been effin raining all weekend.

All that stuff I didn't do all year started catching up with me!

1: Clean up the Camaro and get emissions checked
2: Fix the water pump on the Blazer
    3: Powerwash the deck
    4: Houshold repairs
5: Cut the grass (and keep cutting the grass)
6: About 50 other things I can't think of right now.

    Whew,
Given all that I wonder when I can listen to my system again! I haven't even turned it on for a month now. It's nice to take a break from it for a while though. I just wonder, will it sound better or worse when I listen next time?

I just got back from a little getaway for my birthday. VERY refreshing, and also put a lot of things in perspective too.

So I log into the Polk forum, 4 pages of new posts, and nothing really worth reading. I guess things (including forums) evolve through time, good or bad, it just happens.

I'm with Max, there is a LONG list of projects to tackle, finish, etc.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Happy BDay bud... I'll be tippen 1 for ya this afternoon.

I finally said what the hell and integrated my Audio Alchemy DTI box into my HT. First and formost was the reclock of my RCA DTV TOSLink and what a difference it made. The sloppy low end base is gone from the DTV feeds and I was finally able to put my h/k to the test with my Audio Research DAC. The DAC remains the clear winner for music quality but I must say that the DTI has made a substantial difference and closed the gap.

For 5.1 from the DTV box the difference is huge and and the 50 bucks I spent was well worth it. Blade II, The One and other 5.1 feeds were listened to and I am really glad I found that box on Audiogone.

I am now definetly in the Russ camp as far as Dig Coax and unless you have a pretty bad RF interference issue I would stay with Coax over TOS anyday. I guessed there would not have been much of a difference with the DTI but for 50 bucks what the hell. Next is an RCA to BNC adapter for a direct comparison within my Audio Research DAC. We'll see what happens.

Happy remainder of the Fourth Everyone!

    Happy belated birthday, Russ!

It's been hot around here lately, wish that we could get some of the rain...
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

    Happy Birthday Russ.

I just moved into a new place last week, no cable. Don't plan on getting cable either. Rather than sit and watch mindless TV, I'm listening to my system all of the time. The problem is the upradeitis is getting worse. I know I have to pick up an integrated, fast.

The weather is finally shaping up nicely here in the north, the golf courses here are still in rough shape with poor spring. I played a usually nice course yesterday and it was in the worst shape I've ever seen it in. It's the middle of summer they should be in great shape.
Okay so I can only pull that off maybe 1 in 3 shots or something but I keep trying!

Isn't that the whole point? Yesterday, on a Par 5 465 yards I hit a nice drive that left me with 200 yards to go downhill to green, I pulled out a 4 iron and stuck to within 20 feet. Eagle putt missed by a couple of inches, easy tap in bird. I'll remember that one for a while.
