I have a pair of RT 7s as my main speakers and an older center channel polk speaker. The main speakers have a trilamnate tweeter (SL 6001) and my center has the old type dynamic balance tweeter. I bought a tweeter on ebay that looks the same as my main speaker tweeter exept it is model # SL 6000. It is also a trilaminate. I bought it so the center would more closely match the main speakers. Does anyone know what the difference between the two tweeters is. They look the same but there must be some difference since they have a different model #. Power handling maybe? All input welcome.

    Hello, welcome to the forum:)

The RT line are using Trilaminate Dome tweeters.
They will be perfectly matched whatever their models are as long as they are RT line with Trilaminate dome tweeters.

All I can say is that different models have different type of Trilam
tweeters Magnets, some small and some big.
The SL6000 have a smaller magnet while the SL6501 has much
    bigger one.

Call Ken S. at Polk for this questions. He can answer you precisely whatever the specs are.
