upgrade for 2005 Highlander?

Can't complain too much about the stock JBL system though the bass could be better in terms of definition and range. After driving my father's new car and utilizing the hands free cell option, I'm wondering whether I could mod the stereo and maybe improve the bottom end while adding the hands free. I want to keep the changer option. Any thoughts or comments?
