Just scored a pair of RTA15TL's on the local CL. As the story goes, someone at an elderly persons' home died and the management set them out by the dumpster. This guy salvages good stuff from the dumpsters and resells them on CL.

They are in good condition but need some TLC on the wood panels. One of the binding posts is broken.

All drivers appear mint. I need to test them but don't know if they are 8 or 4 ohm speakers. Any ideas?

Their literature lists them as "compatible with 8 ohm outputs", congrats on an excellent purchase :)

OK, they just sang Stevie Ray Vaughn Riviera Paradise beautifully.....minus one tweeter which requires further investigation to see if it is blown or just unplugged. Gotta love that vintage Polk sound.

As far as condition goes, they are probably a 6/10 on the AG scale given that one of the black piano gloss tops is loose and there are some scratches/dings on the wood side panels. The grills are dirty but no snags. One grill pin is missing.

Overall for the price, I can't complain. They will shape up into a great pair of speakers for little investment.

And I did find another website that says they are 8ohms as well.

Thanks! I've been looking for a nice set of vintage Polks that I could put in my workshop and given some of the condition issues, I'd have no problem putting these out there. I'll need to do a bit more listening before making final judgements on them but my first impression is that the highs and mids are great but the bass, while definitely there seems a bit muddled. Haven't played with positioning or anything but they will do the trick I'm sure.

They can be rather bass muddy. Try to get them off of the walls.
