Not my listing
I would think splitting them up would be a better move.

Is it me, or is that a no-reserve auction? He does state this at the bottom - "These are listed for 3500 locally and unless bidding is above that then I will sell first come first serve. "

Well, that's not the way it works... you've got to have a reserve on the auction if you're not willing to take less than $3500...

It is indeed no reserve, should be interesting to see what it ends up at. I personally would likely make a 2000 mile drive with a U-Haul to pick up those guys for a grand :)

My guess is he might have to rescind his offer to sell since it's unlikely anyone in his vicinity will have the cash to spend 3500 for three sets of SDA's. Seems to me that would be a waste to actually use them all for HT anyway, they're meant for stereo.

Probably uses four pairs of SDA-CRS+ as a center...

A really awesome collection, but I agree that it is probably wasted on 7 channel surround. That would make for 3 really nice stereo rooms, I wonder what he was using to power all that sda goodness?

anyone else notice his mismatched tweeters on the "1.2TL"'s? Looks like 5xSL3k+3xSL2k, which means somebody should be able to negotiate down a bit. Anyways, even so, hopefully they go to a few good homes.

I agree, especially without a reserve! I'm guessing he's going to bail on the auction when it ends with a price lower than what he wants. I'm tempted to throw a bid down though! :D

Actually it probably sounds pretty good if he has the gear to run it with. See my system below - I think it sounds great for 2,4, and 5 channel music and it doesn't do too bad for home theater either. He who has the most speakers with the most amps wins. Ha-Ha

Wow...Fly to LA, rent a Uhaul or Ryder van & drive `em home. Keep the TL's and sell the others (maybe deliver `em on the way home) if you've got a few free days to kill. But, as someone already said, he'll never get what he wants from them trying to sell them all together.

For awhile here, we had a guy who had a PAIR of Carver Amazing Plat's at every position of a 5.1 rig. He had a PAIR as the center channel, a PAIR for the right front, a PAIR for the left front, etc.

Ya even if he doesn't sell the locally he will say so if the auction isn't high enough.

Damn!! I used to live about 45 minutes from Sonora! Maybe I should move back!:p:D I think he's going to have a hard time selling these as a lot for a decent price. I agree that he will bail out too. Not enough of a high bid for all of them. Who's gonna want to move that many speakers on their own? Better get the extra extra extra long bed truck.
