A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010 remake) BluRay

Far more edgier than the original, with no silly jokes spoiling the seriousness of the plot. This is far better than the original, and they stick very close to the original series of events. The original kind of had a "B movie" feel to it, not so with this one.

Rent, possible buy

Forgot to mention, there is some seriously low bass rumblings (gotta be like 26-30Hz) in the background music during some scenes; my little mules were energyzing the room like crazy--it was cool.

Those of you with good subs (or mains that dig deep) will know exactly what I'm talking about.

The preview title (that you see from the main forum page) just said "Stevies quickie...".

Needless to say, I didn't click on it for the review.

    Bah! Darn prudes!

I agree with your review though. There were a couple spots where it even made me jump, and that doesn't happen much. Unfortunately I was only watching on my computer with headphones, but I should be able to bust it out on the system soon.

+1 on the review - Freddy was much darker in this version.

The low frequencies on this movie were awsome - great effects!!

I love horror movies, so if I like it--it's a safe bet it'll be pretty good. I don't know that I'd recommend a buy, but definitely rent it if you like the genre.

Cool to know that it's not the cheesy crap of the 80's. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the review.

I was excited but the prospect of "Steve's quickie..." then it turned out to be a movie review.
