I've had one of the dyson pet vacuums (purple ones) for years, and have been extremely impressed with performance. I'll definitely spend the extra money to get another dyson when this one eventually dies. Well worth it...

We got our dyson canister vacuum from woot. It sucks and does a great job of it. :)

I'll put it like this. I had a run of crappy vacuums prior to the Dyson. I was vacuuming my living room one day years ago, and the belt on that POS vacuum broke as soon as I finished the living room.

I had had enough, so I took that POS, threw it in the trash, and went straight to Bestbuy to grab a Dyson.

Now keeping in mind I had just vacuumed my living room with the old one, I fired the Dyson up, vacuumed my living room again, and emptied the cannister THREE times before finishing. Between the dirt and pet hair my old vacuum couldn't get up, and the excess shag/whatever from the carpet, I was blown away at how much more crap the Dyson picked up in comparison. I'll never go back, as I breathe much better now that I'm able to keep my place relatively pet hair free by running the Dyson on the regular.

    They're refurbished.

    I love my Dyson, though.
