The place was infested with Tubes and TurnTables.. Plenty of Vinyl,SACD, and DVD A's.
Had a great time funny that half the stuff I would never buy.
I got to meet Tyler from TA. Very nice guy and it was nice to finally hear some TA Speakers.
I am in love with the A Capella high violoncello boy do they sing, Amazing!!! Also my other love is Venture. All I can say is WOW if one could afford to have both of these speakers I don't see where one would need to look any further.
Mod Wright was there and they had a modded tube Oppo 83 let's just say I'm sold and want one they also had a tube modded Sony SACD player and the Oppo killed it IMO..
Oh I can not forget the Bella Luna Diamante loud speaker.. These babys are not only original looking they sound fantastic..
MIT was there and I was hoping Joe would be there, not sure if he was or not, they had some show going on somewhere else in the building..
Emotiva was there as well they had their subs,speakers,4 XPA-1's their new DAC and of course the ERC-1 CDP. I will not post my thoughts as it was just OK and I'm being nice. They are super nice guys and are in it for the budget of audio. But they don't hold a candle next to the rest of the show. And yes I'm bittimg my tongue.. They did not give me the WOW factor. But I don't think their speakers are very good. And I know they are there to showcase their product..
The vinyl that I got to enjoy was fantastic. I thought my TT setup sounded good. Boy does vinyl sound good with the right setup. I have said it before but I will take vinyl over CD anyday of the week..
Well that's it for now. Now if I could win the lottery!! LOL.
Larry.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Thanks for the post, Larry! Especially the impression on Modwright stuff.
From what I have read from the feedbacks from the various forums, it was audio nirvana for everyone who attended. Seems like just visiting all the rooms to audition the gears is worth the airfare alone!
Did you get to listen to the Virtue gears and Zu speakers?
Now to save up for next year RMAF! -
Did you get to meet Ian and/or Rachel at Grant Fidelity and see the new Shuguang 845 Treasure monoblocks?

Thanks for the posting, Larry. Were you able to drop by the Bottlehead room? I believe they were demoing the Tape Project tapes?
Cheers, Ken -
