Looking to possibly buy these. He is asking 150.00. I have been looking since August for some SDAs and these are the only ones to come up for sale in my area. Anyways I think that they are 2As. Can anyone confirm, is 150.00 a good price and are these worth getting? By the way there is no cable with these. Thanks.

Looks like you have a blade/blade interconnect socket so I'd say 90% sure they are 2A's.

They look just like the 2A's I bought last week for $200 (w/ cable and original boxes) so $150 is not a bad price. Just be sure to check all the drivers before you hand over the cash.
    Sounds good to me...

Talk them down to $125.00 to help cover the cost of an I/C cable.;)

Does anyone know how much this would cost?
Also how important is placemant for these? I am thinking about putting these where my RTi12s currently are and both of these are against walls. Also how will these compare to my 12s. I listen to 50/50 HT and 2 channel. Thanks.

For all SDA models, placement is extremely important. First thing is to never toe-in the speakers, and second is that the best image will be produced when an equal distance from all walls. They should generally be 6-12" away from the back wall (YMMV: the closer to the wall, the better the bass response, but too close and they become very boomy). SDA's should be no closer than 6' apart and you should sit between (x=distance apart) x and 2x feet away, centered between the two. Obviously, the closer they are, the smaller the sweet-spot. If you can separate them sufficiently, you can fit a loveseat or sofa into their sweet-spot and have very good imaging for all ears in that area. The closer you are to them, the wider the soundstage, so play around with placement.

Do grab an SDA cable from Polk: these speakers are OK without it, but shine with the cable.
