    The first part happened to me last night with Comcast/Xfinity as I was having internet problems.

    Tech: Can you open up internet explorer for me?
    Jake: I don't use IE but I can open Firefox or Safari, or I can find IE for you.
    Tech: Please find it and open it for me.
    Tech: (2 minutes later) Have you opened IE yet?
    Jake: No, I'm looking for it, but Firefox still says the internet is not connected.
    Tech: So you can't find IE? You must have a Mac then.
    Jake: Nope. I just don't like IE and have more or less removed it from my PC.
    Tech: Well I'm going to need you to use IE...

    Next time : start->run->iexplore

    Or just do what most of us do, and lie. "Yup, tried that, still not connected."
    If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

    I'm fairly tech savvy and have never had a problem, but I just thought it was a funny conversation.

    I always love my conversations with "Bob" in Bangalore? But, I can't even 'dream of a scenario like this.

    The sad thing is, I have a good friend with a Masters in Software Engineering from RPI who's been unemployed now for a few YEARS! Got to love Bill Gates and all the boys who tell us we don't have the 'talent' in the U.S. so WE NEED more talent from abroad and abroad?

    This guy is a wizard. Helped me MANY times!! And there are A LOT more U.S. Tech guys and gals like him?

    Oh well....back to dreaming!

    I had a tech girl in India on the phone....she'd say something and I would respond, "what, can you repeat that?" After a short time I heard her say, "you're having a hard time understanding me." Me, "No ****!"

    Ridiculous :mad:
