An Apology To All

I would like to apologize for overreacing to two specific posts. I wasn't thinking clearly and tried to respond too quickly. I acknowledge the hurt and damage done by responding to his posts in a negative manner. I regret posting words that may have been viewed in a hurtful manner. I am asking for forgiveness and would like to say that I am truly sorry. Thanks for understanding.

Hey crap happens, and it is the Internet. Hell I don't always say the right things and some things I say might be out of line.
No apology needed IMO but cool you did so..

first you need to earn some redemption, then you might get forgiveness.
For the most part you need to age a bit, speak with your Father/GrandFather if you can.

I agree with reeltrouble1. You need to grow some before you will understand how respect works. It isn't given it is earned. You also need to learn to forgive and to turn the other cheek. Demanding respect from anyone is impossible. And demanding an apology from someone is just as disrespectful as what was done to you.
I don't mean any disrespect but you sounded like a child that had not gotten his way. And I am sure you do not want to be perceived like that. I know I wouldn't. So let the rest of us forget this happened but you should really reflect on it. Use it as a tool to grow as a person.
Also, Turning the other cheek is OK. There are bigger fights in life than a disagreement on Polk's forum. Trust me, I am only 37yrs old but I can tell you. An argument on here holds almost no weight in the grand scheme of things. -
Looking back, I’m sorry that I was so rude to others, posted hurtful messages on this board, or said any off the wall stuff over the past few days. I recognize my role in the event because there was no need to reply in an aggressive manner. Perhaps a better way would have been to ask why someone thinks a certain way in PM. We all make mistakes, the first thing I shouldn't have done was to respond to the posts so quickly. Maybe I viewed it the wrong way and it wasn't an attack. I tried to understand and have come to the conclusion that the message of the post was: since I have limited experience on the road, I really should not be on a motorcycle until I have more experience with driving. So I will not be wanting to ride any more until I get more driving experience and/or time on the road. I acknowledge the hurt and damage done by what I said, by challenging someone with more driving/motorcycle experience. It was a situation that got out of hand as my gut instinct was to say that I was a safe driver. I need more time on the road before I can say that in the future. I also regret certain things that were said on this forum and should not have said them so fast. I understand how I made the person feel. I regret posting words that were hurtful to others. It was stupid and I am willing to do anything to put this behind us. I really want to make things right. Thanks.polkaudio RT35 Bookshelves

Very nicely put Serendipity.
Now take it easy with the huge letters.
Wow you can read your post from the moon.
What you should do next is let it go. You apologized. That is all you can do.
BTW, how did the motorcycle thread get involved in what should I do discussion? Was that a grudge you had? If so, that is the stuff to walk away from. It's no big deal if you want to ride, just take it easy until you have some time under your belt. I am sure he knows or knows of someone young that was hurt or killed on a bike. I am pretty sure we all do. That is where his comment came from. Having said that I have ridden since I was 18. I have had my brushes with stupidity and death but once you learn to follow the SAFE rules you can live a long happy life on a Bike.

HAHAHAHA Where did the O go??? -
Ok guyz...give it a rest already. Let him repent and think for a few days.
He said sorry and it doesn't bother me. I hope it doesn't bother to you guys too...
But if you can't forgive him, put him in ignore and move on....Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin: -
Step back, take a deep breath and chill. I had no clue what was going on here till I reviewed the thread in question.
After having met Jesse face-to-face at PolkFest I, honestly can't see how this thing spun out of control so fast. F1nut is not a man of many words but he does get to the point and he's quite cordial and accommodating, so were all the senior members.
As for the apologies. I remember this place when I first arrived? I got Bozo-listed in my first month by a couple of members that are real pussycats in person--and I knew THAT after a few more months HERE before I met them at Lou's. Enough said. There were FAR WORSE things said and done here before Al called out the Mods.
Finally, I suspect that there are probably a few things going on in your personal life that pushed your buttons. As there is nothing blatant in most of the posts I reviewed.
As said above....calm down and let the personality stuff go.
Just back from PolkFest 2010, there was an undercurrent of camaradarie throughout and though members are not beyond a bit of 'hazing' in the fraternity sense--having spent my life on University and College campuses I understand that all too well. Boys will be boys! And I've taught 1000s of them. OK, I'm not so young!
Serendipity. It's OK.

I'm sorry but I am not going to accept Serendipity's apology until he organize some kind of social gathering that involves loud music, non-stop booze, food and strippers (not necessarily in that order). Of course, all Polk Forum members are invited and Serendipity will be responsible for cleaning up afterwards + any bail money necessary to gain freedom from law enforcement. Until then....
