Buying new surround sound

We are selling our home and for the past few years have used the Bose Acoustimass 10 Series IV along with a Denon receiver for our surround sound system. We are leaving the Bose system with the new owners and now I'd like to get some advise to what to step up to in our new home. I really like the ceiling mounted speakers so I'd like to stay with that type of setup. I liked the Bose speakers in some ways, but mainly because you could direct the sound. Are Polk speakers directional as I see that they are flat mounted to the ceiling. Are the Polk LC80fx worth the price and if they are why do they only sell them in pairs and not four per package? Does Polk sell a subwoofer and a 5 piece speaker ensemble that is quality? I also see people talking about Klipsch on several threads so I'd appreciate any advice that you home theater pros have to offer.

Much thanks!

You don't want Klipsch, especially if you're coming from Bose. They feature horn tweeters which IMO are very harsh sounding to the ears.

Anyway, Polk has a new line out now that I hear are very good. Also, they're stylish to the rooms needs and are wife approved. :)

You'll still need a good reciever, like Onkyo 708, Denon 2310, or a Pioneer Elite to push them properly. You'll need a powered sub as well. I would personally go Velodyne, JL Audio or SVS.
