Anyone own one? What you think of it? Looking at picking one up since the Total Wine by me started selling New Castle beertender compatible 5L kegs :)

I know they used to be like 300-400 bucks but Best Buy has them for 100.00

http://www.beertender.com/

Input please

Cheers

    Pauly- I've had my eye on these guys for a long time, but the killer, for me, at least, is it's a uni-tasker... Heineken & now New Castle mini-kegs only. Feel it would get old to drink the same beer all the time, and then you have another large appliance sitting in the kitchen/man-room.

    There are other brands out there that hold the other non-heineken mini-kegs, but they typically don't get great reviews, despite being priced a bit better (seen them for $150-ish). I'm interested in what others have to say about these guys as well....

    I know a guy at my work - only drinks Bud...only.

    I asked him if he ever tried other beers.

    His reply...."I tried the rest, came back to the best."

    This would be perfect for him...probably already has one. :p

    I would rather spring for one of those pre-made kegerators from Home Depot. That way I could drink beer I like. They're $450, though, and do require you to keep a CO2 bottle filled (they come with an empty).
    Ludicrous gibs!

    I would go for one of the beertenders if Heineken would release newly aquired Dos Equis in the Beertender size keg.. Dos is hands down my favorite and would easily justify getting one of these.. I keep hoping to see since Heineken went and bought it.
    Main 2ch -
    BlueSound Node->Ethereal optical cable->Peachtree Audio Nova 150->GoldenEar Triton 2+
    TT - Pro-ject Classic SB with Sumiko Bluepoint.

    TV 3.1 system -
    Denon 3500 -> Dynaudio Excite 32/22

    I have always wanted one of those, but could never justify dropping that much coin on one

    I bought my Vissani kegerator at home depot a couple of years ago and love it. The CO2 tank costs anywhere from $15-25 to fill and lasts a long time (3-4 1/2 barrels or at my rate of drinking beer a year). It's not the best kegerator and required a few minor fixes, but overall, it was worth the $330. I love having ShockTop or American Ale on tap for football season. My next keg will probably be something dark like an outmeal stout. The only downside is, you can't fit Coors products in it so Coors light, Killians, Blue Moon, etc are all not compatable with it bc of their kegs.
