There are a wide variety of DIY subs for different applications.

Depending what your level of wood working is, budget, and well several other things will determine the right build for you (if any).

I'm a little cloudy on the forum but I'm sure you can google DIY subwoofer and find several forums/threads/projects posted online.

I built one myself last year, and several members on here have built some as well.
    Truck setup
    Alpine 9856
    Phoenix Gold RSD65CS

    For Sale
    Polk SR6500
    Polk SR5250
    Polk SR104

with subs its all about moving air. I built a 18" sealed sub with only a minuscule 240 watts rms it sounds fantastic and gets low and loud. I might build a bigger ported version in the future.
