Herbie's are about the best, but they can be pricey. There may be a cheaper alternative that is just as good. Not sure what it is though.

I have tried Herbies and the o rings versions and did not like the results. Seem to take away more than anything. YMMV

I did on marginally microphonic tubes. They are a nice tube accessory/tweak.

Another vote for Herbies. They are throughout my rig and improved the sound of the tubes dramatically. Highly recommended Larry.

I can see why it seems they take away from the tube sound. They make the sound more focused and "solid" sounding. The tubes are not as "airy" sounding with as much openness. But, they take away sibilance and dramatically improve detail and imaging (from my experiance anyway).

I use those red O rings on all the tubes in my rig. It sounds tighter and less mushy.
