Anyone knows what version are they? Is it worth buying? I am calling dibs on it anyway! What should I check if I decide to get it?

Original 2.3's with the donut drivers. I'd pay $600ish

Thanks guys! I am local to him but I don't want to pay $1000. I will contact him and see if he'll come down in price.

Which SDA is the best version out there?
-
1.2tl
2.3tl
3.1tl
SRS 2
1c's -
So, where is SDA 2.3 stacks up in the rank?
-
Below the 1c's I would guess. Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Ok! Thanks! I don't want to call dibs on them anymore If anyone wants them.

The one you can afford and/or get your hands on is the best SDA. you can always swap later if something else comes along..
The non tl versions are a fantastic speaker as well and can be just as enjoyable as the tl versions..
Just my .02 -
Nothing wrong with 2.3's,, but these are kinda high,,if you could get him down,,say 250-300 off his asking price. You might approach it this way,,speakers are 20 years old=cap replacement==newer tweeters 300 dollars, good luck.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

It says right in the ebay title "Polk Audio SDA SRS 2.3" . A bit over priced by a couple hundred or so.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. That is a little high for no modding included, if you could talk him down I might go for it.

Those are identical to the 2.3's I just bought a week ago. $1000 seems high, but when items are scarce, they become worth whatever the purchaser is willing to pay. I know I have overpaid on some items because I wanted them and there was little chance of getting them again if I let them slip away.
I scored the 2.3's in mint shape for $400HT: Polk SDA SRS 2.3 main fronts, Klipsch RC-25 center channel, Polk RTi-150 rears, M&K V1B sub, Denon AVR-5800, Samsung 52" LCD, Sony BDP-S550
2 Channel: Carver ALS Platinum, Audio Research LS-2B preamp, Counterpoint SA-100 amplifier, Integra CD player, Denon SL7D tt, TC750 phono pre, Nikko tuner
