So after reading nooshinjohn post I thought about something my wife did last year while I was in Daytona.

So there I am down in FL and the wife calls. She tells me she turned the TV on and the sound isn't working. I ask her if she turned on the Receiver and she says yes. I ask if it is muted and she says "I don't know". So I explain how to see if it is muted.

BTW my wife really doesn't play to much with the Stereo.

Anyway, I try to diagnose this over the phone for a few minutes and nothing is working. So I ask if it worked at all today and she says "Yes right up until I changed the room around" Change the room around????? What do you mean???? It turns out she decided to switch the living room around to the way i wanted from the start. The problem was is she didn't know how the wires in back of the system connected. So she kind of put them in how she thought they looked. OMFG!!!!!!!

I told her to please turn off the receiver now!!!!!!! Well maybe I didn't say please??

So I walk her through getting sound to the TV and tell her it will be that way till I get home. Luckily nothing got messed up but man was that a PITA.

So what made me think of this is the line jimmydep wrote in the Need to spank my wife thread. "You don't touch the washing machine, so she should'nt touch your system.:)":D

I may have said something very similar on the phone that day.:p

There's a lot of value to having a man-cave! Concede the rest of the house, but they walk the plank if they intrude on the man-cave.

    I won't comment but I will give a thumbs up..

PS, this was the Living Room HT setup not the Man Cave setup with the SDA's. She doesn't go anywhere near that stuff. I think the Tubes scare her. Wait a minute maybe I need to add Tubes to the HT setup. ;)

My wife knows better as well, but just in case I label each cable and its connections then wrap clear packing tape at each end. In the event that it does NEED to be moved, there is no way she could F it up.
